The SU78

At 100 years from the foundation of the American Field Service, Intercultura invited participants, friends, families who hosted foreign students and volunteers to a week-end of celebration in Trento and Rovereto, from May 1st to 3rd 2015. A chance to meet old friends and make new ones, reflecting on the history of our organization.

The week-end was enriched by many socializing and symbolic elements. The opening ceremony was held in the Castello del Buonconsiglio, followed by a performance by Marco Cortesi and Mara Moschini at the Teatro Sociale. The "centennial dinner" at the Cantine Rotari on Saturday night was preceded by a performance of the SOSAT choir. The closing ceremony was at the Peace Bell of Rovereto, Sunday at 12:00 noon, with the chance to visit the MART (Museum of Contemporary Art). The conference "Learning to live together. Humanitarianism, reconciliation and education for plural societies" was on Saturday and Sunday morning.

And the SU78, an original ambulance, was on display in Trento and then in Rovereto (picture right).
